Mounting a golf simulator projector: ceiling, floor and offset

The mount position is set by the throw ratio — and constrained by the golfer and the ball.

Getting the image square

Lens shift moves the image without tilting the projector and keeps it sharp; keystone correction warps the image digitally and loses some detail. Offset describes how far above or below the lens centre the image sits — check it when a ceiling-mounted projector must hit a low screen.
